TERMS AND CONDITIONS (Unabridged) – Make It Happen Lending Competition
All persons participating in this competition (“the entrant(s)”) agree that the competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on them. A copy of these competition rules are available at all Ubank branches (from 5 Nov, at 16h00 until 31 January 2022 at 17h00) as well as on the Ubank Website (www.ubank.co.za).
The organiser of this competition is Ubank and for purposes of this promotional competition “Ubank” means Ubank Ltd, registration number 2000/013541/06.
The entrant acknowledges to have read and understood these terms and conditions and are accordingly deemed to have accepted them.
RULES OF THE COMPETITION
This competition commences on 8 November and will end on 31 January 2022.
In order to qualify as an entrant in the Make It Happen Lending competition, the customer must have: a) Applied for a Ubank loan of at least R10 000 or more, repayable over 12 months or longer. b) Applied, qualified, been approved and had a loan disbursed during the competition period. c) The loan needs to be taken up either at a Ubank branch or via http://web.uloans.co/
The following persons are ineligible to participate in this competition: a) Ubank’s directors, their partners/spouses and immediate family members. b) Ubank’s employees, their partners/spouse and immediate family members. c) Ubank’s agents and/or consultants and suppliers of goods or services in connection with this competition and their respective 2 spouses/life partners, business partners or immediate family members. d) Ubank’s customers who have taken up any loan with Ubank during the course of this competition and repayment on such loan is in arrears.
Prizes: 3 x cash prizes of R20 000 (twenty thousand rand each) will be distributed to selected winners on the respective draw dates set out at clause 9 below.
Entry into the competition: All loan accounts that meet the requirements of the competition will be tracked electronically and automatically entered into the competition. No entry forms need to be submitted to participate in the competition.
Selection of winners: Winners will be selected through a draw to be performed by a Customer Solutions Manager (not directly linked to the competition) and overseen by the Internal Audit Department or the Compliance Department. The draws will take place on: 30 November 2021 22 December 2021 7 February 2021 at Ubank House, 10 Matuka Place, Erand Gardens, Midrand. The winner’s name will be published on www.ubank.co.za.
The prize winners will be contacted telephonically during the week after the draw. If a selected winner does not answer his/her landline and/or mobile phone, Ubank will leave a message on the prize-winner’s phone where possible. Ubank undertakes to try at least three (3) times on three (3) consecutive days to notify the prize winners telephonically. If for any reason Ubank is unable to reach a prize-winner telephonically or cannot leave a voice message, Ubank will send a notice to the contact details (i.e. via sms, e-mail or post) provided by the entrant and the winner’s account will be flagged on the banking system. Should the winners not be reached following reasonable attempts, Ubank reserves the right to award the prizes to a runner-up who will also be selected by draw.
Ubank will deposit the prize money into a bank account nominated by the winner within ten (10) days after selection as a winner and notification.
When the prize-winner(s) accepts his/her prizes, they may choose not to be identified and may refuse to have their photograph taken and published in printed media or to appear on radio and television.
The prize-winners’ consent will be sought before Ubank uses his/her details in any advertising, promotional, print, point-of-sale or public relations material at no fee.
Ubank is not liable for any damage caused howsoever by the fact of the entrants participation in this competition and entrants hereby indemnifies Ubank for any such loss as contemplated in this clause.
Ubank reserves the right to discontinue this competition for any reason beyond its reasonable control or if it is required by any regulations or applicable law. Ubank may also end the competition at its sole discretion, on condition that – 15.1 no prize winners have been determined; and 15.2 reasonable notice has been given to all entrants.
If the competition is ended as contemplated in clause 15 above, no entrant will have any claim of any nature whatsoever against Ubank.
Once winners have been selected and prize handed over in terms of these rules, the results of the competition will be deemed as final in all respects.
